This property was referred through to me by Steve Dillon in the commercial office. It was being sold for an 89 year old lady who was moving into a home and I met her son, who was my primary point of contact, for the first time once the sale had confirmed as he is based in Auckland. All too often we all get letters when clients wish to complain but rarely do we sit down and compliment people when a job is well done. I am pleased to say the latter is the case here. Recently Foss was recommended to me to assist in the sale of my mothers house, Mrs R Wood, 17 Newbridge Place, Ilam. My mother was 90 years old yesterday so I was looking after the sale of the house from Auckland. We had a short time allowance for the sale in that mum had the opportunity to move into a retirement village (The Oaks) and only had a 60 day option on the unit. Mum was particularly keen to move into the Oaks as she was extremely uncomfortable living on her own. I contacted Foss, he reacted immediately, had the house on the market within 5 days, researched all the questions I had and responded in detail immediately. He was extremely professional and throughout the process made my mother feel as if she was his most important customer. He generated 3 offers and in this market place that is some achievement. His consultative approach, attention to detail and regular information sharing, made us feel extremely comfortable in retaining him as the sole agent throughout this period. Considering the short time frame we had to secure this unit this was a gamble for us, but as it turned out no gamble at all. He obtained a final price far greater than our expectations.
